Smith Street
The vision for this project was to honour the home’s Art Deco heritage while introducing functional, modern elements that elevate family living. The goal was to blend original features — such as ornate ceilings, leadlight windows, and timber details — with clean lines and a natural colour palette, creating a sense of calm throughout.
A simple second-storey addition allowed for a master retreat, complete with a walk-in robe, ensuite, and a flexible fifth bedroom, enhancing both privacy and practicality. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living areas are flooded with natural light, bringing a bright, airy feel to the heart of the home.
The outdoor space was designed with easy entertaining in mind, featuring a built-in barbecue and wood-fired pizza oven, perfect for relaxed gatherings. This renovation reflects a careful balance between heritage charm and contemporary comfort, making it a sophisticated, functional space ready for its next chapter.
